You can delete your MAMMA MAFIA account from inside the app:

Profile → Delete Account

You can also contact us at hello@mammamafia.org if you need help deleting your account.

You will not be asked to justify your decision.

What happens when you delete your account

After you confirm deletion, we check the account information being removed before closing your account. If that cleanup cannot be completed, your account stays open so you can retry or ask for help. Some information may already have been removed. If we cannot confirm the final outcome, we will ask you to check your sign-in or contact us.

Where possible, content associated only with your account will be deleted or de-identified. This may include:

• Your profile information
• Your posts and comments
• Your chapter or Circle contributions
• Your swap listings and offers
• Your gatherings and gathering requests
• Your Return notes
• Your My Body notes
• Your saved businesses and listings
• Your My Road entries, Sister Map pin and sister connections
• Legacy app activity records associated with your account

Messages and shared content

Deleting your account may remove your profile and access to your conversations.

However, messages or content you previously shared with another member may remain as part of that member's conversation history or other shared records.

Where appropriate, your identity should be removed or replaced with something such as Deleted Member.

Information we may need to retain

Some information may need to be kept for a limited period after your account is deleted. This may include records required for:

• Tax and accounting
• Payments, refunds and transactions
• Subscription history
• Fraud prevention or dispute resolution
• Legal or regulatory obligations

Where we no longer need to identify you personally, we will aim to de-identify retained records.

A de-identified record of founding membership may be retained as part of MAMMA MAFIA's historical records.

Backups

Deleted information may remain temporarily in secure backup systems until those backups are overwritten in the ordinary course of our systems.

You do not have to tell us why

You do not need to explain why you are leaving. We will not make you speak to someone, complete a survey or justify your decision before your account can be deleted.

And if you choose to return one day, you are welcome to create a new account.

Your place here was never conditional on staying.
